BIOGRAPHY
London’s own Dynamic Calories worship at the twin altars of guitars and yelling and you can too.
Slacker rock and psychedelia, ferocious riffing and complex vocal harmonies get tossed into the blender and poured out atop a mountain of premium danceable grooves. Calories live shows slam down three-minute power bops right alongside open, spacey jams and the odd hard rock freak out.
Calories started as the solo project of Jules Ramsay, who wrote, performed and produced the debut ‘Known Album’ in 2017 and sophomore LP ‘World Peace’ in 2023. The crucial addition of Kasper Kiely on bass and Konky Wang on drums saw Dynamic Calories evolve into the blistering power trio tearing up live venues today. 2024 saw the release of an acoustic EP 'Calling From The Thunderbolt' with the Calories stretching out their Unplugged muscles.
Known for their high energy, high fashion live shows, the Calories rapidly moved up the bill, playing their first headline gig at London’s venerable Mcbeth to a packed house after only three other dates.
The band continue to work on new music in between touring and trial new music live at almost every show.
